Back Country Ski Touring week

Fantastic Asia Travel Company Limited offers a range of back country ski tours in Kyrgyzstan's Tien Shan mountains. To concentrate on skiing we have choosen destinations close to Bishkek - the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The following back country week run some 130 km south of Bishkek in Suusamyr valley.

Suusamyr valley is: stable and windless weather, tonns of snow, short approach time and vertical up to 1200 meters per run.

1 Day. Arrive Bishkek. Meet agent. Drive to Suusamyr valley aprox 2,5 hrs. 09:00 Breakfast. Meet guides/Final preparations. On piste skiing with ski resort slopes. 14:00 Lunch. Safety briefing/avalanche safety course. Dinner in the hotel.

2 Day. 06:30 am Breakfast. Full day ski touring in Too Ashuu area. 14:00 Lunch in the field. 18:00 Dinner in the hotel.

3 Day. 06:30 am Breakfast. Full day ski touring in Too Ashuu area. 14:00 Lunch in the field. 18:00 Dinner in the hotel.

4 Day. 06:30 am Breakfast. Full day ski touring in Too Ashuu area. 14:00 Lunch in the field. 18:00 Dinner in the hotel.

5 Day. 08:00 Breakfast. Free day for sightseeing of Manas ordo or Ski resort skiing. Lunch in Talas. 18:00 Dinner in the hotel.

6 Day. 06:00 Breakfast. Drive to Ara Bel pass. Full day ski touring. 14:00 Lunch in the field. Return to Ski resort. 18:00 Dinner in the hotel.

7 Day. 6:30 Breakfast. Half day ski touring. Lunch in hotel. PM drive to Bishkek. Dinner in downtown.Accommodation in hotel.

8 Day. Early breakfast. Transfer to airport for your up coming onward journey. End of services.

• Personal travel insurance - We require all quests to provide a valid personal insurance before the trip. Skiing/Boarding activities as well as heli copter flights must be included as one of the subjects. Minimum coverage required is 10,000 USD.
• Tips for guides/porters/drivers
• Emergency evacuation charges
• Certain meal whilst not on trek or tour
• All personal expenses, equipment, clothing
• Visa and passport cost (at the time of writing, a one month Kyrgyz visa costs USD $36. Pay on arrival at Manas airport)
